New players are so Key to Success Chelsea
London – Chelsea transfer policy last summer deserve praise. New players they recruit almost all performed brilliantly and made a significant contribution.
Chelsea bring in Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas, Filipe Luis, Loic Remy, and Didier Drogba last summer. The Blues also repatriate Thibaut Courtois and Kurt Zouma previously loaned to another club.
Among the players, Costa, Fabregas, and Courtois become a key player of Chelsea this season. All three became the mainstay of the team in each line.
Costa, who signed from Atletico Madrid so new Chelsea goal machine and has so far scored 19 goals in 35 games. Fabregas is the motor in the midfield through 22 assists that he created. As Courtois into solid walls under the new rule and conceded 26 goals in the Premier League.
The entry of Costa, Fabregas, and Courtois makes Chelsea so much tougher this season. Toughness The Blues have proven over the English League Cup titles they have won. They also have very close to the Premier League title.
“I think the success has been started last year when the club to recruit players, the important players that immediately became the core players in the team and a big influence and form the beginning of a great season,” said the former Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, as quoted by Soccerway ,
“Fabregas, Costa, Courtois is the backbone of the team and had a tremendous influence on the team,” said Cudicini.
“Fabregas has 16 assists (in the Premier League). It was incredible. Costa scored important goals since the start of the season and that’s what the team needed. Courtois is young, but he’s a great talent and is very experienced for someone his age,” he said.
“He (Courtois) give peace on the back line, he immediately went into the first team. Coming from the different leagues is not easy, especially for goalkeepers. But, now you can not see the difference,” said Cudicini.
“They are important players for the club and it shows you that the club is right when selecting players,” he said.
