Smalling Dissatisfied with MU’s performance in Game Opponent Burnley
Manchester – Despite win, Manchester United somewhat disappointing performance. Defender ‘Red Devils’, Chris Smalling, are not satisfied with his team’s performance.
Smalling be the star of his team victory in the game against Burnley on Thursday (12/2) pm dawn. Two goals from 25-year-old defender helped United win 3-1 in a match that was held at Old Trafford.
Smalling created the first goal in the first round entirely. The first in the fifth minute to put United 1-0 up, while the second one created in the first half injury time and make the Red Devils a 2-1 lead.
Despite the win, Smalling call United performed poorly in the first half. They let Burnley created more chances than their own.
“A score of 3-1 does not describe the game. Especially in the first half, in which we appear disappointing. Supposedly, we can perform better,” said Smalling told MUTV.
“We can do better than this. But, the manager said in the locker room that we were in the first half performance was unacceptable and the players know it.”
Smalling admits, Burnley perform better in the first round. Sean Dyche team made it even able to do the pressing tight to United’s players.
“They pressed us well, but we managed to find a solution for it in the first half,” said Smalling.
With this victory, United moved up to third in the standings with a collection of 47, five points behind Manchester City. However, United’s only one point ahead of Southampton and two points ahead of Arsenal.
